Secure Out-of-Band Management
The LineGuard 9000 Remote Port Manager is a Secure-out-of-Band management
tool created to operate with the CryptoCom 2000 secure modem. Through
the combined use of the CryptoCom and the LineGuard 9000 secure automated
out-of-band communications can be established at the click of the mouse.

The LG9000 is a database application that runs under the Windows operating
system. Its primary function is to store the remote CryptoCom security
parameters in order to remotely connect. It also stores information such
as contact, deploment date and modem configuration profiles. In addition
the LG9000 maintains a audit log of all activities performed by the system.

With a stored
database of users the system operator simply needs to select the remote
modem and click the connect button to initiate a secure out-of-band communications
session with the remote device. These devices include PBX's, Legacy Equipment
and routers to name only a few.
The database
of the LG9000 is protected by password and encryption. With two levels
of operation Administrator and User, Site Security Officers can feel confident
that all operation of the LG9000 or protected from unauthorized use.

An integrated
terminal window, similar to Hyperterminal, is used to communicate with
the remote device. It is fully configurable to operate with serial asynchronous
devices up to 115,200 bps.
