ComCase R2T-MIL

The ComCase R2 is a 2U 19" rackmount enclusure that houses a Cisco 3230 and two Cisco Catalyst 2955T Switches. The ComCase R2T-MIL is a MIL STD 810F & MIL STD 461E approved device designed specifically for rackmount applications and is currently installed in the USMC Light Armored Vehicle Command and Control (LAV-C2) vehicles.

26 10/100 and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports are accessible via three 100-pin circular military connectors on the rear of the device while console ports and status LED's are on the front. In addition the ComCase R2T-MIL can utilize mechanical slides on the sides to allow for easier access once installed.

Operating on 18-32 VDC power supply the ComCase R2T-MIL is a custom design utilizing custom thermal plates that encapsulate the circuit card and provide passive conduction cooling with and operating temperature of -40 to +85 degrees C.

ComCase R2T

The ComCase R2T was developed to fill a need for the ability to mount the Cisco 3200 Mobile Access Router in a standard 19" communications rack. The ComCase R houses up to 6 PC/104 Plus cards and 6 PC/104 cards. Custom interfaces for the MAR, IPE, Wireless cards and 3rd party 104 cards are provided on the front and rear panels. The ComCase R is also Available with redundant power supplies with alarms the ComCase R is ideal for mobile command vehicles.

The key difference between the R2T-MIL and R2T is the commercial style connectors. Instead of circular military connectors the R2T uses industry standard RJ45 and DB9 to bring the various interfaces to the outside.
