ComCase Series

The ComCase Series of products from Western DataCom encompass various Mobile Access Router integrations in our product lineup. The ComCase Series have been developed to facilitate the use of the MAR in any number of applications. i.e. mobile, stationary, outdoor and indoor. These integrations have various certifications and are flexible in configuration as well as customizable.

ComCase T

The ComCase T was designed for Tactical communications and operates without fans. This design is a MIL STD 810F integration that can hold up to 14 PC/104 cards, using the optional expansion bundle. The base configuration includes a Cisco 3230 with 2 802.11b/g WMIC cards (AP & Bridge), amplifier, antennas and all cables necessary for operation.

ComCase H

The Western DataCom ComCase H allows forward deployed combatants and first responder incident commanders to maintain situational awareness and command while disconnected from home networks.  ComCase H has rugged MIL-STD 810F chassis
components providing portable mobile Internet Protocol (IP) Solutions.  The main IP component is the Cisco 3200 Mobile Access Router (MAR) using the IETF standard 3344 for Mobile IP.  The 3200 MAR provides an integrated WiFi wireless hotspot and automatically switches to WiFi bridging, cellular, radio or satellite reach-back to their home station operations network; or this Router can be simply connected into wired infrastructures for connectivity.  Radio over IP, VoIP and Video applications allow team members the ability to have inter– and intra– squad voice communications and data sharing capabilities.

ComCase P

Pole Mounting applications are the design basis for the ComCase P. It uses a 14 slot enclosure with a custom pole mount bracket, as well as an integrated AC/DC power supply for direct connection to the AC power source. The base configuration includes a Cisco 3230 2 WMIC stack with internal AC/DC power supply and power cord.

ComCase M

Mobility is the basis for the ComCase M (formerly the 1600 Series chassis). The ComCase M is a light weight, small form factor design with vibration dampening and rubber mount for vehicle applications. Custom end caps provide all the necessary interface connectivity for all applications.

ComCase R

The ComCase R was developed to fill the need for the ability to mount the Cisco 3200 Mobile Access Router into a standard 19" communications rack. The ComCase R house up to 6 PC/104 Plus cards and 6 PC/104 cards. Custom interfaces for the MAR, IPE, Wireless card and 3rd party 104 cards are provided on the front and rear panels.

Western DataCom has also developed a custom rack mount bracket to secure the ComCase R into a standard 19" rack. This bracket provides added vibration dampening as well as fasteners to secure the ComCase R into the bracket (important for vehicle installations). A custom motherboard provides a communications back plane as well as redundant power to the various cards housed in the ComCase R. Dual fans provide cooling and LED's illustrate chassis status at a glance.

 

Tha ability to hold both PC/104 Plus and PC/104 cards allows the ComCase R to be flexible in it configuration, lending itself to a wide range of applications. For details on a custom configuration, please contact our sales department.
